The golf course at Baraboo Country Club remains one of the best kept secrets in the area. While the other renowned courses in the Dells are filled to capacity with 6-hour rounds, and tourist play; Baraboo Country Club offers accessibility, a unique player challenge, with wide, well defined and watered fairways, forgiving rough and smooth, quick greens that consistently read a '10' on the stimpmeter.
Hole #8, the Par 5 signature hole, will give you one of the best golfing experiences available with a drive over water to a generous landing area, dog-legging left to another landing area, tightened by woods, water and Indian Mounds, then left, straight uphill, through a narrow opening to a shallow, blind, forward sloping green, bunkered in front and back. If that's not enough, the slick green breaks severely from back to front, giving the golfer fits after a most trying adventure just to get on!
